Pandemic and Content​

We are celebrating our one year anniversary at Roku! Tonic TV continues to write new content and is looking for the best way to produce content during this pandemic. Adding new content is always a priority. Here at Tonic TV we are learning so much about this business. That if it was easy, then everyone would be doing it.  Honestly, it’s not easy. However, love and passion for this industry keeps fueling the fire within us and we find a way to get things done.  Oftentimes, you have to work through those unexpected over the top situations,  but we learn to sort through all types of things. It’s like being on your first film set and you think you’ve planned for everything. This is for all my perfectionist and O.C.D people, who’ve planned every detail. The shoot day is here and all hell breaks loose on set. Well, you had a plan A and it helps to have a plan B just in case.   

What does filmmaking look like doing a pandemic? well that could look many ways for many creatives. Filmmakers are still producing content and we love them for it. I say this because I’m just a big couch potato and was a little worried. Yes, I was worried that this was the end of how we watch tv and movies.  Well it was the end of something but more of an era in how we tell stories.  I would have to say that last year was such a creative way of storytelling. The pandemic pushed us to continue to write and film content no matter what. I have to say I’m glad because I was able to binge watch tv.... What? I like to binge watch TV. It's a rush then I need my next fix. I know it’s bad but everybody has their thing. We just have a different way of how we create and put content out. This is the time to look at new ways of how we tell stories. It’s a good thing to be open to change because this pandemic has changed how we do a lot of things. That’s the one thing some of us have a problem with, change. It’s okay to feel this way but sometimes those changes could be a blessing for some and a curse for others.  We have to decide what it’s going to be for us. We hope that everyone is aiming for the blessings. You got some aiming for the curse, you know who you are.
